Our vision is to inspire the local community by creating an inclusive and inspiring Islamic community centre, one that binds together our various communities through our commitment to Faith and Belief in One God.
Our primary aim is to be a space for private and congregational worship, but also, to promote community cohesion, youth and adult education, strengthen the bonds within our community and offer a wider range of services open to the general public.
East Cardiff Muslim Centre (ECMC) is a grassroots community project established in St. Mellons, Cardiff in 2016.Starting as a local community support, education, and Muslim prayer facility in the old St Mellons Enterprise Centre, ECMC quickly grew to provide a wider range of services and became a go-to destination for the wider Cardiff Muslim community.
In July 2019, we purchased the Old Police Station, St Mellons which will be the new permanent location for the community centre, following completion of redevelopment works, currently planned for mid 2025.
Once reopened for access, we encourage all of our visitors to partake in our services and become involved in developing our future community activities In the meantime, we’ll keep you updated on our progress and encourage your generous donations toward this wonderful, community-led initiative, in sha Allah (God-willing).
The building is under construction therefore no services are being held.
East Cardiff Muslim Centre will continue to meet the diverse needs of the Muslim community by offering a wide range of services. Including but not limited to adult and youth educational programs, health and wellness, social welfare, youth clubs, women’s services and wider support for the local community.
